Working with Luna Park Scarborough

Background

Luna Park in Scarborough is a seaside attraction in North Yorkshire. Until recently, the business didn’t have a website, so we were tasked with developing a website to help them create their online presence.

Our primary goal was to create a simple but fun website for customers to easily find information about the park. This meant building a fully responsive website with quick navigational routes for optimal user experience.

The Process

As the brand did not have an existing website, we had to adapt our approach, and we found the level of research required rewarding. We had to ensure that Luna Park was set up with everything they would need to go online.

It was important for us to strike a balance in creating a website that is fun and reflects the nature of the business without detracting from its purpose, which is to offer customers any information they might need ahead of their visit to the park.

We started by doing extensive research into other businesses in the industry to give ourselves a clear idea of what kind of information customers would need to find, such as opening times, accessibility and whether food and drink are available on-site.

We also offered a built-in eCommerce functionality to allow them to sell their Funcards online - while the client decided not to use that feature in the end, it was certainly fun to create!

Once our research and planning were done, we were able to put our theories into motion and create our initial web design. After some feedback from the client, the website was ready to build out.
